I can't connect my phone to my Drive One device

If your phone is having trouble connecting to your Drive One device, here are some tips to try.


Keep the following in mind:


  • The Drive One device wakes up when it is in motion. Therefore, it will lose connection if it is completely still. If you need to keep it switched on to set it up, shake it continuously
  • The plastic piece must be pulled out of the Drive One during setup to activate the battery
  • Once you've connected to Drive One, it will wake up at the slightest movement, so sometimes it can connect before you even get in the car - other times it can take a little longer.
  • Your phone's Bluetooth must be switched on when connecting with Drive One



If you can't connect at all: Remove the app, restart and install again


  1. Uninstall the app from your phone
  2. Restart your phone (on iPhone, force restart: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/iphone/iph8903c3ee6/ios)
  3. Install the app again
  4. Review the setup in the app
  5. If after a few days your phone asks if you still want to allow location always, keep it on "always allow". This is so the device and phone can connect automatically.
