If you encounter a speed camera or an obstacle, such as a construction site, and Drive One does not warn you, there could be many reasons.

The following reasons may apply if Drive One did not warn you about a speed camera or hazard.

1. You will only be warned if another user has already detected and reported this speed camera or hazard. Therefore, it is important that you use the two different buttons on your device when you detect a speed camera or hazard on your route. Also use the buttons if you need to confirm a speed camera or hazard. (See also: “Guide to warning others and confirming warnings.” )
2. If you frequently don't receive alerts of a specific type, please check your settings in the app. Follow this guide to enable and disable alert notifications .
3. Alerts can be muted so you won't receive that specific alert in the future. You can check if an alert has been muted in the app's settings under "Muted Pins." In this menu, tap the alert and then the trash can icon. If you don't see the "Muted Pins" option, then you haven't muted any alerts. (See also:   "How to Mute Alerts." )
4. Check that Drive One is switched on and properly connected . To ensure it's connected, you can turn on the connection indicator , which will cause the device to flash and/or beep at regular intervals of your choosing. This way, you can ensure the device remains connected throughout your journey. If your smartphone is an Android device, make sure battery optimization is disabled for Drive One . If you have an iPhone, ensure that the "Precise Location" feature is enabled for Drive One .
