If you have encountered a speed check or an incident on your road, such as roadworks, and Drive One has not warned you, there may be several reasons for this.
Possible reasons why you were not alerted to a check or incident
- First of all, someone has to be the first to report the check/incident. That's why it's important that you always use one of the two buttons to alert others if you see something unreported, such as an obstacle on the road or a speed check. - If you consistently don't get notifications of a certain type, also check the notification settings in the app. Follow these instructions to turn notifications on and off .
- Alerts can be silenced so that you will not receive the alert in the future. You can see if an alert is silenced in the app's settings under the "Silent alerts" menu item. Click on the alert in this menu and then the trash can icon. If you do not have the "Silent alerts" menu item, then you have not silenced any alerts. Read more in our guide to silencing alerts .
- Also check that Drive One is turned on and connected properly . You may want to turn on the connection indicator . This will flash and/or beep at intervals you choose. This way you know that there is still a continuous connection. If your phone is an Android, make sure that battery saving is turned off for the Drive One app . If you have an iPhone, make sure that "precise location" is turned on for Drive One .
