Your Drive One device will provide you with two types of alerts
- Speed trap / speed camera (blue light)
- Other (red light)
Alerts in the Other category may mean cars in the emergency lane, an accident, a queue, objects on the road, etc., that you need to pay special attention to.
The warnings will be delivered with notification messages on your phone, as well as sounds from the phone and device, and a light from the device.
With the top button on the device, you can warn other users about speed cameras, and with the lower button, you warn about other hazards.
Note: The buttons on your Drive One are also used to confirm the dangers that Drive One warns you about. If you are warned about an event and can confirm it (e.g. if you see a speed trap or road work), you can help other users by confirming the warning by using the buttons on the device.
Where are the other kinds of alerts coming from?
Drive One has many partners across all of Europe that provide Drive One with data. We send this data to the Drive One app and the Drive One device in the form of an alert.
These alerts can be:
- Mobile speed cameras
- Fixed speed cameras
- Traffic light cameras
- Accidents
- Traffic jam
- Road work
- Warnings
- Other
Please note that the Drive One device has two types of warnings with sound: Speed camera or Other (covering all other areas). See our guide about enabling and disabling warnings too.
In the Drive One app, you can see more details about the alert, e.g. what type it is (see list above).
